"Science goes PUBlic" and "Pint of Science"

I participated in the 2019 edition of "Science goes PUBlic" (Bremen, Germany) and in the 2025 edition of "Pint of Science" (Madrid, Spain). In these events, scientists explain their research with informal talks in bars. My presentations were: "What archaea do with hydrocarbons in the deep sediments" and "Being an archaeum in a bacterionormative world"

European Researcher's Night

I participate annually at the scientific events of European Researcher's Night from the Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales (MNCN), held the last Friday of Septermber. Since 2023 the group organizes one of the stations of a scientific gymkhana for kids where they learn about microorganisms

For my last publications, I have been publishing twitter threads explaining the most important findings of each article in a light and easygoing way.

Participation in the podcast "Vis a Vis con la Ciencia"

I participated in the third episode of the podcast "Vis a Vis con la Ciencia". This project is the collaboration among the National Museum of Natural Sciences, the NGO Solidarios and the inmates of the Ecos de Soto newsroom at the Soto del Real Penitentiary Center - Madrid V.

During my career, I published several posts about my articles trying to explain to wider audiences the results of my research or my participation in the scientific cruise PS107 to the Fram Strait (Arctic Ocean).

Science Slam

I won the first prize of the Science Slam of the 6th Visions in Science conference (September 2017) with the presentation "Marine biology research: not everything is blue"
